Job Summary
Promote student development through enrichment and mentoring experiences. Assist the students to develop an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the health care profession. Maintain adequate professional development and in-service training as required by accreditation and licensing bodies
Responsibilities
Direct, Manage, and Evaluate Student learning in the clinical setting. Assists the student in integration of theory and practice, specific to the course's learning activities and level of the learner. Evaluates the student's development of clinical reasoning skills. Remain available at all times the student is in the clinical setting. Directly observe and guide students' learning activities with the clients. Evaluate students in clinical related to the Student Learning Outcomes. Provide timely and ongoing feedback to the faculty (or to Clinical Coordinator) regarding the clinical site's effectiveness in supporting the student accomplishment of the course and program outcomes. Collaborate with the unit manager and staff so that the presence of students and their activities are supportive of the unit's goals and needs. Demonstrate proper respect for students, faculty, and staff and conduct the class in a student-friendly manner. Orient students to the clinical area, and demonstrate proper procedures. Work with the Clinical Coordinator and the Nursing Program Director to ensure clinical facilities have course learning objectives and student schedules for each course.

Education
Bachelor's Degree (Required) Experience: 2 years of direct care patient experience in nursing for part-time faculty.
