The acceptance of refill requests and new written prescriptions from patients.
Enter the prescription data and patient profile data into the computer and (A) Monitor the label printing and (B) alert the pharmacist to any duplication of medication, drug therapy overlap, drug interactions, drug-disease state interactions, and any questions that arise from entering the information.
Count and pour from stock bottles for individual prescriptions under the direct supervision of the pharmacist.
The reconstitution and restoration of the original form of medication previously altered for preservation and storage by the addition of a specific quantity of an appropriate diluents requiring no calculations with supervision.
Weigh or measure the specific ingredient for the pharmacist to use in extemporaneous compounding with pharmacy verification.
Other duties as assigned by Pharmacist or supervisor.
Working Conditions:
Position requires manual dexterity for operating standard office equipment.
Position requires the ability to maintain concentration and attention to detail for long periods of time in order to maintain accurate records pertaining to patient and/or prescription information.
Position functions within a normal office environment.
Frequently required to lift and carry material weighing up to 10 pounds.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Pharmacy Certification in WV
