Job Summary
Responsible for the effective follow-up and collection of high dollar, delinquent, and problem account receivable claims by resolving patient inquiries in a timely and effective manner.
Responsibilities
• Follow up on accounts having received one or more unanswered statements. • Obtain necessary information from guarantor/insurance company to obtain reimbursement. • Research accounts to obtain resolution, and do so with minimal support from Customer Service Team Lead or Supervisor, while serving as a resource to other PA Customer Service Representatives. • Review accounts to determine if they meet charity guidelines. • Receive incoming calls and mail that are within the assigned area of responsibility. • Make adjustments on accounts as needed, as well as move transactions that may be posted in error. • Cerner SME duties as needed. • Assist with training of new PA Customer Service Representatives.
