Congrats! Take a moment and relax. You've made it through the job interview! Of course, there are a few things that you now have to do as part of a follow up. That's where this article come in. As you interview for jobs in Charlestone, adhering to these steps will make your interview results more positive. Don't worry about how you think you did, take stock, of course, so you can learn what to do better for future interviews, but follow these tips:

1. Don’t be afraid to ask what the next step is: at the end of the interview, go ahead and ask your interviewer what comes next. That way, you will know what to expect and when the appropriate time for a follow up email or phone call would be.

2. Write a thank you letter: this should be your top priority immediately after your interview. A well-crafted letter to your interviewer should reiterate your interest in the position, and thank them for considering you for the position. If you were interviewed by several different people, they should all receive thank you letters as well. It is acceptable to send these via email.

3. Send a follow up email: if your interviewers tell you that they will have an update in a week then send them an email a week later (if you haven’t heard back from them yet). In addition to helping you get an update, this email will also show that you were an active participant during the interview.
