Job DescriptionThe Assistant Front Office Manager at The Greenbrier is responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day operations of the front office, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of the hotel and delivering exceptional guest experiences.Oversee front‑desk operations including bell stand, front door, and valet.Lead, train, and schedule front‑office staff, conduct performance evaluations and discipline when needed.Coordinate arrivals, departures, and billing; review room blocks and resolve discrepancies.Assist in preparing the annual departmental operating budget, monitor budget and control labor costs and expenses.Ensure compliance with financial, credit, and industry regulations; review and reconcile transactions.Develop strategies to increase occupancy and ADR through upselling at the front desk.Resolve customer complaints and handle all guest interactions professionally.Check guests in and out efficiently; verify rates, issue keys, post late charges, and settle bills.Plan and execute front‑office strategy, motivations and performance initiatives.Participate in corrective action plans based on guest surveys and satisfaction results.Maintain quality and cleanliness standards and report deficiencies.Assist with management of other operational departments as needed.QualificationsMinimum 2 years experience in the hospitality industry or related field.Experience at The Greenbrier – Operations or Food & Beverage preferred.Prior supervisory experience required.High school diploma or GED preferred.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Technical SkillsComputer proficiency: word processing, spreadsheets, databases.Proficiency in calendars and internet applications.Working Hours40+ hours per week.Physical RequirementsWork location includes heated indoor areas; occasionally elevated areas or below‑ground environments with temperature fluctuations may occur.#J-18808-Ljbffr
